(Final) Evaluation Question 1: In what ways does your media products use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

After putting our first attempt at this question on the blog we received feedback from our teacher on the changes that we could make to our video to further improve it and to get higher marks. We made the pictures stay longer on the screen and also made the audio go over the pictures. Above is the new video with all the changes being made.

Quick update on Synergy Question

We are currently working on our prezi and to make sure the presentation looks nice and fresh! We will be posting the prezi here on blog very soon. Just keep checking :)

Here is this awesome short film I came across and decided to share it here; with no dialogue and voiceover, yet still manages to stand out and have massive effect on audience. I really like the cinematography in this short film.

Question 4 progress

In yesterdays lesson we discussed some ideas about question four of the evaluation and from there we planned our next steps. Due to the fact that there is a problem with prezi on the school computers and the camera was on the wrong setting,which we are currently trying to retrieve our data, we changed our focus to question four of the evaluation. We brainstormed some of our ideas in this mind map:

Evaluation Progress on question 3

In todays lesson we planned to continue with question 2 in the evaluation but later on changed our minds and began to put more of our focus on question 3; also thinking about concentrating on question 2 possibly in tomorrows lesson. Hearing that the deadline for our evaluation will be extended to next week Friday we were very happy that we have more time and we aim to make our evaluation to the best standard possible especially since our deadline has been extended.

We decided to ask for the camera equipment so that we can film audience giving up firsthand feedback after watching our film.
This went well and we still want to film more people
giving us firsthand audience feedback if we come across the
opportunity to do this in tomorrows lesson.

Progress with our evaluation

Over the weekend me and Mimoza set ourselves the task of making a very detailed prezi for the question: 'How effective is the combination of your main products and ancillary texts'?.
As we are aware that the deadline is this Friday and due to the weather conditions we are not to sure if the school would be closed or one of us will not be able to come in because of the snow. We have previously posted  some of our ideas on the blog in a mind map. We are also going to be looking at exemplar blogs to help us with this question.
Also when we get back to school we hope to start filming for the evaluation question on the audience feedback straight away especially since time would be against us. We will shortly be posting our ideas for this question on the blog.
Lastly, for this question : ' How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research,  planning evaluation stages?'. We are currently thinking about doing a voice over over a clip with stills and screenshots and again this would have to be done in school. We are still putting more thought into this question as we are focusing on the other two questions at the moment. A brainstorm for this question will also be posted onto the blog shortly.

Update on Evaluation

We have been editing our video, interview for the evaluation question 1. We hopefully covered all different aspects of media products and how we used, developed and challenged conventions.
We hope to film our Audience Feedback question on Monday. I had problems with uploading the interview on youtube and the computer was running slow as well. Therefore we cannot put it onto blog yet, we will post it here soon. Thank you for your patience.

More ideas for our evaluation

In today's lesson we continued to discuss what we would do for each question of our evaluation. In the past two lessons we focused on the first and second question in our evaluation so today we decided to look at the third question: ' What have learned from your audience feedback?'
We decided that we are going to film me and Mimoza interviewing 'random' people and asking them questions about what they think about our media products ( the trailer, magazine cover and poster). We also want to include the feedback that we have already recieved on our blog, so we are taking everyones feedback into consideration. Lastly, we thought that it would may be a nice touch if we could also self evaluate our own media products to see what we would actually say being critical of what we have done. After filming today for our first question on our evaluation we hope to start filming for this question hopefully in our next lesson next week.

Gathering our ideas for the evaluation

This lesson we began planning for our evaluation.We focused on the first question which is: 
' In what ways does your media products use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products'.
From this question we understand that we need to be looking a our influences that we have previously put on the blog as a starting point to answering this question. We plan to answer this question and even be able to go further with this question by possibly talking about marketing and distribution.  We are still yet to discuss this question in terms of this is some of our ideas that we discussed in the lesson in a mind map:
